Case Management

Since 1996, CH/SFSC has received core funding through the Washington, DC Child and Family Services Agency (CFSA) to provide home-based visitation case management services to families with children in Wards 1 and 2.

The funding also supports services to Spanish-speaking families across the city who are at risk for child abuse and neglect, or who have already come to the attention of child welfare.

Family group decision-making is a key component of our service. Using a strengths-based family-centered model, CH/SFSC believes that, with the right support and resources, all families can make good decisions for the safety and well-being of their children.

Since 2007, CH/SFSC has also been offering such programs across the city to homeless families who have been referred from the Community Partnership for the Prevention of Homelessness, as well as to families with youth at-risk of involvement in community violence.
